The website is sponsored by the Eyewitness Identification Reform Litigation Network, a joint effort of the Innocence Project, the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
LEFT: John Jerome White (center) was misidentified in this lineup by a rape victim and convicted in Georgia of a crime he did not commit. More than 27 years later, DNA testing would exonerate him and implicate James Parham, who is also in this lineup but was not identified by the victim.
